The tournament runs from June 11 to July 19, 2026, hosted jointly by the United States, Canada, and Mexico across 16 cities.
For the first time ever, 48 national teams will compete, and the tournament will feature 104 matches.
The format includes 12 groups of four teams. The top two teams from each group, plus the eight best third-place teams, will advance to a Round of 32, continuing through knockout rounds to the final.
It’s the first World Cup hosted by three nations and marks a significant expansion in scope and scale.
The 39-day event is expected to attract 6.5 million fans. It’s the largest and most inclusive single-sport tournament ever.
